PS Hope with Chicken (4) Hope Bohanec
has been active in animal protection and environmental activism for over 25 years and is a nationally recognized leader and speaker in the animal protection movement. She has worked with United Poultry Concerns for eight years and is also the Executive Director of Compassionate Living, a California based vegan outreach organization. Before this, Hope offered her organizational talents as the Campaigns Director at In Defense of Animals. Hope the primary organizer for the annual Conscious Eating Conference at UC Berkeley as well as the Sonoma County VegFest and the Berkeley Earth Day.

HandsomCogen  Cogen Bohanec has spent nearly two decades studying, practicing and teaching a variety of Eastern Religions (Yoga, Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, etc.) with his primary faith identity as a Gaudiya Vaishnava (a sect of Hinduism). He is a PhD student at the Center for Dharma Studies (CDS) at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley, CA., and holds a MA in Buddhist Studies from the Institute of Buddhist Studies (IBS). Cogen is an adjunct professor in World Religions, Dharma Studies, and Classical Humanities at American River College in Sacramento, and is an adjunction professor of Sanskrit at CDS/GTU. He has studied and translated Sanskrit literature for over eight years academically, with over five years at UC Berkeley, and has studied both Yoga and Sanskrit in India. He is the co-author of The Ultimate Betrayal: Is There Happy Meat? with his wife Hope Bohanec, with whom he has collaborated for twenty years in the Animal Rights Movement.
